Algae can be gently removed with a soft brush, while combating cyanobacteria involves soaking the coral in same-temperature freshwater for about a minute.

For optimal health, the Golden Polyp Gorgonia should be fed a varied diet of live or frozen baby brine shrimp, Marine Snow, PhytoPlan, and other suitable micro foods several times a week.
